As a member, you actively promote the businesses of others through opportunities that arise in your everyday business activities. Likewise, you have a large sales staff that knows about your business, can talk about it with others, and generates opportunities for you every day.
Each chapter is composed of members that are exclusive representatives of their field—one person per professional specialty. This allows each member to gain the greatest benefit and make a maximum contribution with the group. One of the fascinating things about Tracy Business Partners is that most members have over fifteen years of experience in their field with ten or more years of business operation experience. As a BNI Tracy Business Partner you will experience three levels of referrals as your network begins to grow. First, you will receive direct referrals from chapter members. Then, a second level of referrals develops from business associates of members that learn of your business. Finally, those new business associates generate a third level of referrals from their associates. This is where it all happens—word-of mouth marketing that you just can't purchase.
Our noon meetings are energy packed and offer an informal way to learn more about business through the experiences of others. We are more than just BNI members—we are mentors, and partners.
Its all about business and education
Each meeting features a brief educational segment covering topics such as networking, sales skills, and marketing. Then members make a "30-Second Infomercial" about their business. Typically two members give an extended overview of their business offerings. Referrals are then collected. As a member, you'll refine your presentation skills and learn how to make the maximum impact in a quick touchtone.
New visitors, invited by current members, are welcome to attend our weekly meetings. Potential members complete an application that asks for references, which are checked by the membership committee. Beyond the potential for increased referrals and revenue, as a new member, you receive the following: an orientation audio CD outlining your success in BNI; a badge; a vinyl card holder to carry members' business cards; referral slips; a business card listing on this web site; and access to quarterly newsletters with educational material on networking, public speaking, and business. Members are expected to attend each weekly meeting and maintain a high standard of professional ethics and performance.
